Weight loss journey--2

  My 7 point mantra 1.Eat consciously. Eat whatever is going to give you energy and required nutrients. For eg- a pastry( 100 g) consumed is 500-600 cal ,made of all purpose flour( maida) and  icing made of refined sugar and cream,has hardly any nutritive value.To burn those calories you will have to run atleast 5 kilometers.So please think before you hog next time. 2.Eat home cooked food.I reduced  weight eating white rice ,so can you.You don't need to eat Quinoa to reduce weight!!! Our Indian diet doesn't make you fat ,its the junk ,the wrong eating habits topped up with  laziness thats makes you gain weight. 3.Eat seasonal  fruits grown in ur subcontinent. You need not eat exotic ,costly fruits. 4.Have a sustainable  diet plan.I do not believe in losing 10kg in 10 days kind of plan. Keto diet,protein supplements etc are short lived. Have a colorful and balance meal. 5.Walking is  the most sustainable exercise. Can be done anywhere ,anytime.Pe...

BENEFITS OF EARLY DINNER

 Early  and light dinner aids in weight loss. According to experts, the best window for eating meals is between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., and by wrapping up your dinner early, you are more likely to consume less calories. Several studies also support the above-stated fact, this practice naturally leads to Intermittent Fasting. During the state of fasting, the body fuels its energy needs from the stored body fat instead of glucose in the fed state. As metabolism is also triggered it leads to better weight management. Eating dinner at 10 p.m. instead of 6 p.m. may affect your blood glucose and the ability to burn fat. The study found that late eaters had peak blood sugar levels almost 20 percent higher and fat burning reduced by 10 percent, compared with those who ate dinner earlier. Covid 19 and Moringa

 Moringa oleifera is known as the drumstick tree. It is  widely distributed across vIndia and is used locally to cure over 300 ailments.  Moringa has many important vitamins and minerals. The leaves have 7 times more vitamin C than oranges and 15 times more potassium than bananas. It also has calcium, protein, iron, and amino acids, which help your body heal and build muscle. It is also reported to have inhibitory actions against several viruses. The researchers in India extracted and analysed 19 phytochemicals from M. oleifera leaves using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS).  The researchers used computer modelling to see which of the phytochemicals identified from the drumstick plant might inhibit the SARS-CoV-2 virus. They found that several of the phytochemicals showed a high binding affinity with the virus and could act as virus inhibitors.   The whole world has been hit badly by the second wave of the pandemic. Though there are no foods that will ‘boost’ our immune system immediately prevent or treat COVID-19, healthy balanced diet is still essential for good health and normal immune function. Here are few tips which I have assimilated after going through research articles and discussions with pulmonologists ,ENT surgeons and covid 19 patients.  1.Dont panic during the pandemic make your pandemic platter colorful. 2.Avoid  refined,processed and packaged food. 3.Whenever you feel hungry between meals have watermelon,cucumber,tender coconut water. 4.Indulge in moderate exercises ,deep breathing exercises and relaxation  exercises. 5.Consume 8 to 10 glasses of water daily.Can add chia seeds/ mint leaves to your water. Fought with discipline,perseverance and will.No gym, no trainer.No dietician , actually turning into one myself.The journey has taught me a lot.I have read and experimented a lot.My professional knowledge helped me.Now guiding women worldwide.The people who passed comments when I was obese are taking tips  now.  I have lost 27 kg over 1 .2 years with self efforts in a scientific and healthy way being a full time working mother.
